When it came to the idea of wearing hearing aids, Helen Yager, was not convinced they were for her. “I hated the idea of needing to get hearing aids, but many members of my family seemed to be mumbling when they were speaking to me,” she said. They started encouraging her to at least get her hearing tested. Like so many people, the fear of missing out on a major family event had magnified the troubles she had been experiencing for years. So with the support of her family, Yager got a hearing evaluation in 2003. The event propelling her to do something about her hearing was her first granddaughter’s wedding happening that summer. Her family insisted she would enjoy the occasion more if she were really able to hear. “My audiologist insisted I try a pair of hearing aids. That was several years ago and I did get along with them [her hearing aids] very well.” Keep reading and see photos>>

Hi Whitney and Crew! First a big “thank you” for my new hearing aids. I can go to the Senior Center and have coffee with 7-8 people around a large table and can “clearly” hear what each is saying with little background noise. Also, when in church and while wearing glasses, I have no problems.

I have had hearing loss since birth. During my childhood and teenage years I would avoid the phone and social situations because my hearing loss kept me from hearing as well as my friends did. I could never hear clearly enough and I was embarrassed to have to wear the large Behind-The-Ear style hearing aids that I was told were the only ones that would work. The isolation greatly affected me and I was afraid I would never be able to function in normal social or professional work environments. I thought I would be destined to a life of mowing lawns because I was not sure I would ever be able to communicate normally. I was told I could never wear hearing aids that fit into my ears because of the severity of my loss, so I had only ever worn the BTE style of hearing aids. When I came to Hearing HealthCare Centers and met Whitney, she told me that I could wear smaller hearing aid that fit into my ears. Although I was unsure it would work, I trusted her professional knowledge. She put me in a pair of the smallest custom digital hearing aids, CICs, and I had never heard so well. That was 8 years ago! Recently, I was fit with another pair of CICs in newer technology and my hearing has gotten even better. My social circles continue to expand and it has made me more comfortable in my professional interactions too. My wife and family are happier with me too.

When my old hearing aid company left town, they suggested Hearing HealthCare Centers. I made an appointment to see them and was very please with the results. They were very knowledgeable and professional. After testing they made a recommendation for my situation and what I could expect. But before finalizing the purchase, they had my wife come in and everything was fully explained to her so she would know what to expect too. I have been very pleased with my hearing aids and the follow-up service and care I have received.

I just wanted you to know how much I like my Audibel hearing aids. They work great and I have had no problems. They are easy to install, almost invisible and easy to maintain. I reluctantly set up an appointment because of my wife’s complaint that she was tired of me not hearing her (that might have been a good or bad thing). After getting my aids, I realized that I had been missing out on a lot. Now, I hear my youngest Granddaughter all the time and I am able to watch TV with the volume down so other people can watch without complaining how loud it is. I also hear sounds outside that I could never before such as birds singing. Again, I want to thank you and the staff at Hearing HealthCare Centers for the gracious treatment and my wife really wants to thank you.

I have had my Audibel digital hearing aids for a year now, and highly recommend them. I’d been having trouble with hearing, especially in understanding dialog on TV or in movies. A hearing test showed a loss of hearing in both ears, in the higher tones of sound, and I was fitted with Audibel open ear aids, which are comfortable, and are easy to adjust to. They are so lightweight, I hardly know they are in my ears, and are practically invisible to others.

Recently when I was at Hearing HealthCare Centers, my audiologist, Whitney Swander, asked if I would be interested in trying the new digital hearing aid by Audibel. I replied “sure”. I was totally amazed how much better I could hear and how the quality of sound had improved. It was an easy decision to go with the new digital Audibel OTE open fit instruments. After wearing the new digital aids the past few weeks my wife has really noticed the difference in how much my hearing has improved, especially with the TV and telephone. Being easier to keep clean and more comfortable to wear is also a plus. Of course, a product is only as good as the people who stand behind it and service that product. The staff at Hearing HealthCare Centers is exceptional when it comes to service and friendliness.

I am amazed at all the sounds and speech I had missed before I got my Audibel hearing instruments. They have been especially helpful in making it possible to hear soft-spoken customers over the background noise where I work. At home I can hear the TV and radio at normal sound levels much to the relief of my wife.

What a joy as I can hear the birds sing and found out my cat meows! I just love my new hearing aids. So I want to tell everyone, don’t put off getting them. A big ‘Thank You’ to Whitney for giving me a new life.

I was fitted with an Audibel LX digital hearing aid for a moderate to severe hearing loss in my right ear. The Audibel open hearing aid has performed extremely well. Being a former Hearing Aid Franchise owner, I knew what our customers were experiencing from time to time with their hearing aids. Buzzing and whistling is not a problem and conversation dialog is in a natural form. It has also provided better understanding of words in high noise situations and watching TV. It is comfortable, hardly noticeable and easy to adjust the different functions.

When I first met my husband over five years ago, he wore hearing aides in both ears, yet had obvious difficulty hearing what I was saying in noisy restaurants and often commented that he had missed much of what a particular person said at a dinner party. I encouraged him to look for better hearing aids and he made an appointment with Whitney Swander at Hearing Health Care Centers. With their outstanding professional knowledge and dedication to reaching the best level of adjustment on every hearing aid they sell, my husband’s hearing is vastly better. What I notice is that he almost never mentions his hearing loss since beginning to work with this exceptional company. Thank you!
